"Mischievous" Trevor Bauer (34) will return to the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the first time in two years. 먹튀검증

Japan's Nikkan Sports said on the 27th, "It is decided that Bauer signed a contract with the Yokohama DeNA Baystars. It is expected that an official announcement will be made soon." 

According to Japanese media, Yokohama offered Bower an annual salary of 1 billion yen (approximately 9.2 billion won). Bauer, who played in the Yokohama uniform in 2023, will return to the NPB after two seasons.

Bauer, a former member of the 2020 National League Cy Young Award, has been knocking on the door to returning to the Major League Baseball (MLB) but failed.

His personal history is due to his poor performance. When he was a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2021, Bauer was investigated by prosecutors for allegedly committing sadistic acts accompanied by violence during sexual intercourse. Prosecutors dismissed Bauer from the indictment in February 2022, but the MLB Secretariat suspended him for 324 games without pay. The suspension was then reduced to 194 games, but the Dodgers released Bauer in January 2023.

He refused to renew his contract with the NPB 10-4 record with a 2.76 ERA in 2023, and continued to challenge himself to advance to the MLB. In the Mexican League last season, he won the best pitcher award with a 10-0 record with a 2.48 ERA. However, none of the MLB teams wanted Bauer with a strong image of a bad boy.  

When Yokohama became the Japanese Series champion with the lowest winning rate in history last year, Bauer continued his relationship by sending congratulatory messages. Based on realistic judgment, Bauer again held hands with Yokohama. Yokohama, where Shota Imanasa (Chicago Cubs) left, has strengthened its mound by recruiting Bauer.
